Well, this is odd... I am writing this and I am one of two members in a social network that I created less than 24 hours ago. That's OK though, I have faith that it will GROW and take on a life of its own!

When I am wearing my big girl pants I work as an admin for an electrical engineering contractor. I am currently on a job site outside of DC but was in DC for the first 6 months. I do not consider this a career, I don't like to limit myself! But I get to practice my big girl skills and continue to help people on a daily basis.

On my free time I dabble in all things living and organic. My hobby list is below. I am a member of Aussie Rescue (they tell me I failed at fostering, ended up keeping the first dog I fostered). If it wasn't meant to happen it wouldn't have! That's how I see it. I love all things furry and have 5 of my own fur kids who are fed a raw diet. They are actually part of why I am where I am now. Always wanting to give them the best got me into animal nutrition, which eventually spiraled out of control into human nutrition.

I am married to a wonderfully supportive man who (when practicing being an adult) works at the same contractor as I do (he was there first). He decided to try the raw thing with me and neither of us have looked back since (baring a couple slip ups here and there). He is amazingly inspiring to me, he has lost almost 60 pounds since his heaviest (our senior year of college) and now has amazing amounts of energy!

Hobbies (it's really not that bad, everyone has hobbies...and we want to know what yours are!)

Goals & Aspirations

Currently I am working on a list of goals that is already 100+ long. I set BIG goals (i.e. starting a co-op in DC that caters to the community by providing healthy food at a reasonable price, in a green environment...there's more to it but that's just a piece) and small goals (i.e. getting all my house plants into nice pots and clean off all the dead leafs).

One of my main goals is to Achieve Radiant Health! But I am also ready to step out of my comfort zone and start making connections with other like minded individuals (and Capital City Raw was born)!

Electronics Boycott

Hey Everyone,

Not sure if you will read this or not. As of tonight (whenever I close this computer!) 3/5 through 3/7 I intend to be 100% electronic free! So if you don't hear from me don't be surprised! I will be out playing in my soon to be garden and pretending that technology doesn't exist (aside from the rototiller I will be using!)... Have a wonderful weekend and take care!
